Bell's 8 Years Old Millennium Decanter
Description:
Bell’s 8-year-old Millennium decanter, is complete with whisky timeline tracking the water of life’s history back to 1494.
Bells, having been produced in Scotland since 1850, is a well-loved, trusted, and respected name in the world of whisky, with Kudos in immense droves given to the man, notably named Arthur Bell.
Arthur was one of the first people to discover that blending whiskies created a more available and enjoyable range, pleasing for both the whisky novice and experienced connoisseur.
Bells is made from a select blend of fine malt and grain whiskies, skilfully married together by their master distiller.
The box, being of Bell’s tradition, nods towards the millennium and unveils the clever use of the timeline within the decanter itself.
On unboxing this Bell’s bottle you will be greeted by a pleasing decanter, mounted by an impressive silver and red tone top, the contents being of a delightful golden hue, which is typical of whiskies that are blended together and then matured in solid oak casks.
Being soft and forbearing, this whisky is gathered from whisky heartlands including Inchgower, this Speyside malt brings distinctive coastal flavours, being rich and nutty, with a fresh salty sea breeze.
Dufftown lends classic Speyside freshness, contributing notes of apples, flowers, and wild honey, giving the blend a refreshing vibrancy along with Glenkinchie featuring classic flavours from the ‘garden of Scotland’ with late summer fruit and sweet toffee characteristics.
Leading on to Caol Ila, located on the north-east coast of Islay, bringing the distinctive flavours of smoke and embers, a nod towards an open fire on a cold, winter evening, where, finally, at the Blair Athol distillery the master blender weaves malts of Almonds, ginger cake and spices to give it that full and sumptuous richness, being unique to the Bells brand.
Taste & Nose
The nose, featuring malted barley, with soft hints of cut herbs, meandering towards delightful fresh floral notes, finished with a peppering of cereals, grist, and honey.
The taste, being of medium body, allowing for smooth and delightful hints of nut oil, wood, cereal, and spice, ending delectably short with notes of smoke and perhaps malted fruit cake. A sure pleasure to consume or to collect.
